For Astronomers

The Cosmic Dawn Survey is a deep multiwavelength galaxy survey over an unprecendet area of 50 square degrees.

The survey is build around the Euclid Deep Fields and Calibration fields. The wide field of view of Euclid makes it possible to observe an area larger than the WFC3/CANDELS survey in a single pointing.

The Cosmic Dawn Survey is a coordinated effort to collect complementary multiwavelength data to depths matching Euclids near infrared observations.
As an example, the following shows the surveys shows the footprint of ongoing Subaru/HSC and Spitzer/IRAC coverage in the 10 square degrees Euclid Deep Field in the CDFS.

A similar footprint is planned for the 10 square degrees Euclid DeepField  in the North Ecliptic Pole.

The position of the 20 square degree Euclid Deep Field near the South Ecliptic Pole is being finalized.
